Cage Design and Construction: Ensuring Structural Integrity

Cage Design and Construction: Ensuring Structural Integrity

(CF104) -  George Triantaphyllidis

Course Description

Participants will learn about the fundamental principles of structural engineering as they apply to cage design, including concepts such as load-bearing capacity, material strength and stress distribution. They will gain knowledge about different materials commonly used in cage construction, such as metals (e.g., steel, aluminium), plastics and composites. They will explore the various factors that influence cage design, including the intended use of the cage,  environmental conditions, weight capacity requirements and safety regulations. Understand the importance of regular maintenance and inspection to ensure the ongoing structural integrity of the cage. Learn how to identify potential issues and take corrective actions.
