Course Description
Principles and methods of inducing spawning in fish through hormonal manipulation or environmental cues. Students will learn how to assess spawning readiness, manage spawning behavior, collect and handle eggs and sperm, optimize fertilization rates and monitor embryonic development. Additionally, they will gain knowledge of natural spawning behaviors, factors influencing successful spawning and strategies for enhancing reproductive success in aquaculture settings.
